BMW debuted the XM concept last year with wild styling and a plug-in–hybrid powertrain capable of up to 750 horsepower. Now, that concept will become a reality. The launch version will have 644 hp and 650 lb-ft, while the 750-hp version is expected later in 2023. No word on pricing.
The 2023 XM starts at $159,000, plus a destination charge. At the moment, there’s just one version, although a Label Red variant is in the works for next year with more than 735 horsepower and a price in excess of $185K. Yes, these are nose-bleed amounts, but in line with competitors.
